 Just before DC was going to launched their New 52, there was a crossover pitch that could have been epic...  Optimus Prime as a Green Lantern tops it all! Chris Ryall of IDW and Phil Jimenez of DC put together a story for a crossover, but it was sidelined because of how focused DC was on preparations for the New 52. But DC also wanted to explore this endeavor and the art just sells it. Hopefully this means that we will eventually see this happen when the time is right to market it. By that it means that Transformers has something big happening which will be good for marketing which DC could benefit from with a crossover, similarly to Marvel's crossover with Transformers.  PLEASE DO THIS CROSSOVER DC!!! The timing for this crossover right now would have been great because of the success of the Transformers video game Fall of Cybertron. But as for DC, they are still focusing their attention on the New 52. One could also speculate that they were trying to get this out in 2011 during Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon's release because it would have sold well and give a lot of exposure to DC.
For now it seems that this project is in limbo. Many fans hope that this can get done eventually. The artwork looks stunning and amazing. Maybe we will see this in a separate-shot series in the future. source: comicbookresources
